I feel like a blog slacker - I apologize! Since Spring has officially sprung I feel like we've been busy out and about doing all kinds of springy things, and scurrying around inside to finish off some home projects.
The cats love the fact that some days have been warm enough to open the windows. They sit on the ledge of our sun porch and sun themselves and sniff the cool air.
Bella has been celebrating the slightly warmer weather with a new, festive "Happy Spring" bandana courtesy of Mum. Bella is always up with the latest canine trends - she's so chic!
Heather, Mariah, Lily and I spent Saturday afternoon at Frederick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. We saw the butterfly exhibit and then toured the gardens - we're so lucky to have access to this great facility here in Grand Rapids. There were plenty of photo ops of course...
But my faves are these of Lily. Precious.
My seedlings are thriving. So much so that I got really excited and purchased one of those 72-pellet greenhouses and an assortment of seeds and went to work. Fingers crossed for good results!
The office is FINALLY finished. Well, kind of. I need to replace the outlet and switch covers, and I need to give the door a new coat of white, and the room is devoid of artwork right now. But you know what I mean - pretty much done!
Do you like? I think it adds light. Here's what it looked like BEFORE. You have to excuse the carpet - it is old and gross and will be replaced soon, so we didn't bother putting paint tarps down - it got dripped on a little. Imagine how much lighter still the room will look with new, lighter colored carpet!
We dusted off the grill for the first time this year on Sunday, and grillmaster Travis cooked us up some steaks and asparagus (one cup of asparagus is 0 weight watchers points, by the way!) Yum!
Now it's back to the grind - but for a short week! We leave on Thursday night to fly out to Austin, Texas to celebrate my brother's 21st birthday! I can't wait!
Toodles!
