Going to the Chapel...

This year has flown by. Really. Just flown by.

Exactly two months from today will be Travis and I's first wedding anniversary.

I don't know if it's because our anniversary is coming up, or because we're in the final stretch before Alison & Noah's wedding this weekend, but I've been feeling pretty nostalgic about our wedding day lately.

It's just so crazy, don't you think? We put SO MUCH TIME AND EFFORT into planning this perfect wedding day, and then it's over in a flash! We were so lucky to have a beautiful day and ceremony, fun-filled reception, good food, and were surrounded by much loved friends and family. It was amazing! It is so nuts to me that it's all over and it's already been almost a year.

Now that being said, I'm certainly not downplaying the marriage side of it all!!! Although we've added a dog and a house to our lives this past year, as well as each other, we've had a pretty smooth-sailing first year of marriage. Sure, we bicker like anyone else, but in general we do a really good job of communicating. I am proud of us.

For our first anniversary weekend we've planned a trip to Mackinac Island. I've never been there, and Trav has been a long time ago when he was a kid. We got a great suite at the Mission Point Resort and I can't wait to get out of town and spend some time together! Yeah!

That's all for now. But I'll leave you with some photos from the wedding... you know, because I'm feeling nostalgic and all. The last shot is one of Alison and Noah at our reception -- in just four days we'll be toasting THEM at THEIR wedding reception. So fun!
